New Tribes Mission please STOP IT!

I love NTM and the godly leaders that have been raised up to lead it as spritual leaders and sheepherds of the missionarys that are in it they are wonderful people and I trust them with my gifts and trust funds so that I can keep on giving after I am dead will that still count?

But I may have a little different view of things than Larry brown does even though I have not been oredained like he has or am not an MK I guess there is some good luck in there for me on that score. I just want to share my heart with him and the other goldly men on the eXecutive Bored and I hope they will lsiten to me and not the MKs who are causing so much trouble it is time to move on.

New tribes Mssion was doing much better when they just ignored the MKs and kept it all quite no one knew and missionarys were able to do there work and not have to be all embareassed and distracted from there ministries who cares about what happened so many years ago? New Tribes Mission did not become the wonderful force for good that it is today by having mixed prioritys it concentrated on the gospel not kids dont' loose your way at this stage the Rupture could come at any moment do you want to be preaching or coddling cry babies get over it.

The MKs will not ever leave you alone they will just keep it up and keep it up and kepe it up and never stop havent' you learned that yet? No matter what you do or do not do or say or not say or even if you die they will just dig up your bones they are really mad and biter. Many people want to destroy NTM and they think they are so smart but they do not care about souls just themselves. Do not try to help them and do not spend any more money the Lords money ont hem. STOP IT because it is getting you now here they dont' care about you so you do not need to care about them they will never change.

So just forget the MKs you did it befor and it worked fine just do it again they wont' shut up and go away they are like women that way. You have tired your best and they wont' listen so STOP IT!  Give it some time and it will all go away again and you can gt on with your work we wont' dessert you.

Do not forget the mssionarys they are working hard and are abuot fed up with all of this crap lets get on with the work the missionarys are not going to quite over this they have more imporatant things to worry about then this so spend your valuble time taking care of them not MKs who do not love you or the work of the Lord they are vile but your missionarys are on your side not Santas.

We are on your side too we are still sending you money the MKs arent' are they? I hope you will forgive me for saying this but you need to take note of where your gifts are coming from you should listen to us not the MKs have you gone crazy? I pay my employees and they listen to me and I listen to my coustomers not to my competiters I know which side my bread is buttered on why dont' you?  MKs just cost you money when did you ever have to give a million doallars to a missionary?

It is time in fact it is past time that NTM just told these MKs to go away it worked befor and it can work again so STOP IT please stop it it is enough more than enough we do not care about this we only want to see the gospel get to the last tribes until they are reached and we can be in heaven you are going to have to be with me in heaven but I dont' want to be aroudn the MKs on earth it is hell.

But we do love you NTM and we are still going to go trick or treating for the NTM MK child sexual abuse repetnance retreat fund but that is it we dont' want any more after that so just STOP IT!

No one could possibly be as stupid as you pretend to be!

That is a message that was sent to me by someone who hates New Tribes Mission and does not know the true value of a soul and only want to destroy the Lords work that he has been doing throuhg NTM all these years just think of the souls that are in heaven because of there work I think they hate me too.

And plenty of people are as stupid as I pretend to be as you say.  I am and so is Larry Brown and David Abbott and all of us who are fools for Christs sake you arent' so smart yourselve.  We are not bitter and we know that bad thangs have happened and we hate that and we are not concerned about the past we are worried about the futrue and where are those souls will end up not hell we hope.  But they will go to hell if NTM spends all the time they are doing on trying to make you feel better you can already spell better than I can isnt' that enough for you?

Even if I could spell better or take the time to spell check everytghing I write you wouldn ot believe me you dont' believe anybody except your own cranal minds you make me sick who is rally stupid me or you?  I never read the Fanda Eagels web forum any more except for maybe a few quuick glances to see if they have repented and they have not it was a waist of time.

NTM has repented of all the sexual abuse of children that happened many years agao and none is hppening now so forget it and move on you act so pieus like you never sinned at least Larry Brown never covered up any of this stuff so leave him alone he loves the Lord but he cant' do anyting to make you bitter poeple happy no matter what he does you complane knock it off.

If me and Larry Brown are stupid because we love NTM and want to see souls go to heaven than more people should be stupid like us at least we arent' gay.

Trick or treat for NTMs MK abuse fund

Every year our chruch takes part in Hallowween and normally we pass out tracks along with the candy and we aslo have our church kids take little cans to collect change for the Sunday School classes at our chruch we call it trick or treat for Jesus. My paster says that Hallowween is a pagun holiday because it is form the Cahtolics who are unsaved and there preists are peedophiles and gay but we can take part and use it to the good and that is what we have done in the past. Last year we got $48.68 and three confessions of faith with one rededication we were rejoicing in grace even our paster was hes a great soul whiner.

This year we are going to have the kids collect money for the NTM MK abuse fund but dont' worry we are not handing out that retched GRACE report it is a shame to read that is not fit talk for Christains or even Catholic unless you are a priest. Our goal is to get $100 towards the fund which needs one million dollars so NTM is going to need a lot of parpictation can we count on you? I think that bigger chruches can get a lot more than just one C note and we wont' need even ten thousand chruches to have a trick or treat for NTMs MK abuse fund to get a lot of money we may be able to cover the entire cost if you also count the Frisbee contests and hula hoop manarthons that are bing held not to mention the payer meetings and free will offerings to this cause which warms my heart I was never against it. We are all against sin in all its many froms and wherever it may be even in the camp or broading schools or Playboy magazie we hate sin and love the sinner and support the ministry didnt' Paul?

I love all the MKs in the world even Horny Thorny and I am against sin how could you think that I am not but I am in favor of gettign the gosepl to the heathen and this is just a waist of time and Larry Brown cant' give his full time to being the sheepherd of the misionarys and a help to them as a servant leader not when all this ugliness keeps coming out please quite. All these storeis about broading shcools should be kept quite and not bring disgrace to the name of the Lord have you no shame Larry Brown did not do it and he would have told all about it earleir if he had been able to figure out how to do it this is as new to him as the rest of us I think hes doing a good job back off.

OK I have ben spelling soul wrong but now I know and I will try to do better I hope you are happy it doesnt' matter you knew what I meant didnt' you?

You need to ask yourself how imprtant are souls to you.  Yes MKs are souls and even lawyers are souls and unsaved people are souls too.  Do you want these people who are souls to be in heaven or hell is that a hard queston?  What are souls worth?  How much would you pay for youre soul?

I cannot believe that I am getting so many emails and comments from people who are made at me I did not molest children and I wouldnt' either I hate it it is sin and I hate sin.  I only said that it is more imporatnt that we get souls into heaven no matter how you spel it that is true.  If you write nasty words to me I will not post your comments and I do not belive Dave Abbott wrote me he is a missonary. If you are a bitter soul you need to take care of your own heart and get right with the Lord and repent and not make light of sin.

It is easy to figure out whose soul is imporatnt because if you already are saved your soul is going to heaven like mine we can meet there.  But we have to be tahkful for those whose souls have been saved by the missionarys in New Tirbes Mission and we can meet them in heaven to we cant' understand there languae here on earth God confused them.  It will be worth it all and we wont' remember our trials and temptations heare below once we are in heaven so keep your'e prespective ritht and lets all move on and be thankful for Larry BRown and the other leaders in Sanford who are souls to.

Well Larry Brown has written anohter message to us all and I think Dave Abbot will leave it up this time I sure hope so why did he ever take the last one down it was a humdinger? NTM is doing all they can and they have even told the police I hoep that makes hOrny Thorny happy do you really think the police can do anything at this stage? One of these men doesnt' even go to church so how can he be molesting chidlren any more? Get reel and be thankful for all that is being done to solve these things from so long ago it is a hard job and Larry Brown has done all he can and is doing even more and will do more still after somene helps him work thorough things this is not why he bacame CEO he is a sheepherd not a police man or a counseler.

Our chruch did not support NTM missionarys because we thougtht they would know how to handle child abuse expecailly sexual abuse of children I can hardly talk about it it is so awfull. NTM has a great training program to make trible mssionarys out of people that God can use and if he can use an ass he can use most of the people in NTM or out of it too. If you can wtiness for the Lord you can be a missonary right were you are at or in a tribe if you take the training and dont' wash out what is wrong with saying that? Arenn't you afraid of being put on the shelf where you will be disapproved for service?

NTM is still takling with GRACE so now what do you say all of you who said they were just trynig to do it all by themselves and why do you need a petttion I would never sing it just look at all the bitter people who are on it arent' you ashamed? NTM never ever said that they were gong to do the investigatethion theirselves they have always been open and trasparent they are not like the Catholics who are from the pit of hell you can read about them in the book of the Revelations. NTM is doing this the right way as the Lord leads them and if God can lead Naaman he can lead NTM he doesnt' need a bunch of angry and bitter MKs to do it for him wake up and live for the Lord not in the past. Leave you bitterness and anger behind and press on to the future just forget the past like the Bible teaches.

NTM is comitted to investigate all and any reports of abuse that come its way so please quite reporting these things from twenty years ago you don't see anything being reported from the last ten years have you lost your mind or just your bearings? Lets give some credit where credit is do and thank NTM for writing to the paster they do not ignore the local chruch this is not the same NTM from twenty years ago it is new havent' you been listning? Things were so much easyer when no one was bringing up the past but just being quite about all these things and rememering that the Lord is sovrin over all and bad things happen to Chritstians too not just the Mormons why cant' you get over it?

Now can we please get on to the tribes and preach the Gospel and let bygons be bygons I am so tired of all this stuff dont' you ever wish it would quite? I would much rether have this site dedicated to all of the work that is being done around the world by NTM missionarys in the tribes and with the heathen and not spend our time speaking ill of the leaders that God has raised up to do his work thorough NTM amen?

NTM/GRACE Joint Statement:

The NTM USA Executive Board and GRACE are committed to further discussions regarding the precise manner and procedure in which other NTM boarding school abuse claims will be investigated and addressed. A finalized process will be announced no later than November 1, 2010.
Statement from NTM

The NTM-USA Executive Board wishes to express again that we are committed to address any abuse allegation that is brought to our attention. NTM does not plan to do in-house investigations and we desire that the investigations be done in a timely manner. A meeting between the NTM USA Executive Board and GRACE is scheduled for October 23.

Last week, the two primary people accused of child abuse in the report on Fanda school personally received hand-delivered letters from NTM Executive Board members. The NTM leaders also hand-delivered letters to and spoke with local law enforcement officials where the men now live.

A letter detailing what took place was also delivered to the pastor of the church attended by one former NTM member. The other former member does not attend church.

GRACE is working to conclude the remaining personnel recommendations. NTM will finalize their decisions as soon as possible upon receiving final information from GRACE.

NTM continues to have conversations with various parties including GRACE regarding mediation and arbitration. A specific process will be announced and implemented no later than Friday, October 22.

New Tribes Mission will continue to work diligently to address the recommendations in GRACE's report on child abuse that took place at Fanda, and to consider further steps that can and should be taken both to demonstrate our repentance and to better safeguard children in the future.

Amen borther Larry and we are praying for you all dont' let them get to you just keep on with the Lords work and we will send you our money to use as you see fit but please dont' pay for unsaved secular psychiatrists who dont' know about the tribulation how can they help anything they would never understand they might even be gay or catholic how disgusting.

Please do not send me any more pctures of naked women that is not funny.  And yes I could see that they did not have lepersy and no I do not  believe that those pictures were taken at the Jordan River that is so stupid.

I love NTM and I am not ashamed to say so or to confess that I am a Christian I've been born again and I'm proud of it not ashamed. I have started this websight for people who love NTM and the Lords work not for loosers and this is a Christian wegsight I am happy to say.

Why wouldnt' the MKs want to have a Christian websight but instead they are proud that they are NOT a Christian website what is wrong with them? You can read it yourself on their web sitght but I would strongly suggest that you just ingore them and do not even read it again. I am about to stop reading it it is like a sewer in theire.

If you are really walking with the Lord you will not read Playboy magazine even for the good artcels it has you can get good articels in Brown and Gold magazine and not have to overlook the naked women which is pretty hard to do unless you are gay and I'm not. A short message to the women in NTM

Please shut up. Please. Why are you women being unsubmmisive to the leadership in NTM and keep writing things about them? The EB is doing all they can to atone for the many sins that have been done and they love the victims because they are a victim too and dont' forget that atone means cover and God covered sin too so just shut up and if you want to sing a song or read a pome or soemthing go ahead but it is a shame for you to speak up and act like you are the ones in charge you are not so shut up. Please shut up. Please please please pretty please shut up.

The men in the EB need your help not your ideas and suggestins you are women and why do you keep harping just give it a brake and learn to love and suport those the Lord himself has put in your charge of keepng you're soles safe. You should alrady know that they are working as full time servant leaders to put this behind them and move on just do your jobs and keep preaching the Gospel to the heathen or if you are in support work be like David Abbott who just keeps finding those web sights that are insulting to the Lord and his servants in NTM and trust your leaders I do. If you are a man in NTM and you are acting like a lady just were a dress or shut up NTM does not except gays. You need to have your wives in submisson and tell them to do there jobs and you do yours and lets not hinder the heather from hearing the Gospel tell your wifes to shut up. Preach it Borther!!

For those of you who hate NTM I suggest you read the good message from dear borther Larry Brown which I have pasted below and it was an encouragement to me expecailly the Bible lesson from Naaman. I feel so sorry for these men that there earlier statement stirred up so much dialogue that is the last thing they need is dialouge just leave them alone and let them come to their own concrete decisions why do you want to make assumptions when they have already said they are very very sorry and have repented and are undressing the whole misson to get to the bottoms of these things they just dont' know how yet but they are working on it. You have made your point now just bacdk off and let the Lord work thorough there lives to bring soles to heaven and glory not hell.

They have already taken appropriate actoin on most of the things that GRACE told them to do even though GRACE is not perfect they are not God and they make mistakes too you dont' see them taking off their clothes of there misson to expose themselves to the whole world do you?

If you want to look down on people who cant' type good and who dont' have time to fittle around with speel checker go ahead it doesnt' mean I'm worng just because I'm not polished God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and just wear the hat that fits you are not God eihter those of you that hate NTM and want us to believe you not them God raised them up not you.

Rember that it was God who showed NTM all those things back in the 1990s not GRACE and not a bunch of MKs who are not thankful for the many oportunitys they had to be raised away from there parents and with other kids why did they think they could get away with sneakng around and kissing each other do two wrongs make a right? How can these MKs feel like they were not valued when the dorm farter cared enough to punish them for kissing what do you want just to do whatever comes to mind and who cares that is of the devil and you know it.

I am happy that Larry Brown who is also the CEO of NTM USA took the time to bare his heart and share about what all they are diong and remind us all of the good things that they have done and the good Bible story from Namaan I was touched. Sin is so horrible and it has effected everyone not just the MKs but also the parents and even NTM they are victims too so how about a little love for them and not just eveyone who hates NTM has a big time complaining and beating up on them how do we even know you are all telling the truth?

CRITICAL DECISION REGARDING FUTURE INVESTIGATIONS

This week, October 12-14, the Executive Board has its normally scheduled Board meetings. We will seek to make some critical decisions and we covet your prayers.

One of those critical decisions is how to handle future abuse investigations. In our last NTM eNews we made a general statement about this to let you know that we are talking about what NTM USA policies will be. Unfortunately, this stirred up a lot of dialogue which led to many false assumptions about NTM doing in-house investigations, controlling the process etc.

We want you to know that we have not concluded on a specific approach yet. We have no desire to do in-house investigations, nor do we plan to control them. Thirteen months ago, we contracted GRACE to investigate the Fanda abuse. Now we are evaluating where to go from here. The Executive Board will be processing this decision and others during this week's board meetings.

The Executive Board wishes to express again that we are committed to address any abuse allegation that is brought to our attention. All will be investigated and the appropriate action will be taken. It's painful to see this ugliness come out, seemingly all at once, but it's a journey that we are committed to walk through with integrity.

Many of you remember the mid 90s when missionaries began expressing how the paternalistic, at times autocratic, legalistic style of leadership within NTM affected them as students and as new missionaries in their ministries. Through that feedback many changes were made; the EC sent out a letter of apology for the culture that this leadership fostered, and many transitions began to take place.

Today we are hearing from those who experienced autocratic, legalistic leadership as children. They are letting us know what it felt like and how it affected them. Tragically, some were abused and had no clear way to defend themselves. Some children felt that they were less valued than the ministry. Others felt that whoever couldn't fit into a tribal work was relegated to a ministry at a school. Some feared that they would be responsible for souls lost if they revealed abuse and thus hindered ministry. These are griefs children should not have to bear and they leave lasting effects.

In some ways, this is a continuation of the feedback from the mid 90s that precipitated the change in NTM that began in 1996. Many of these children, now adults, fear that the NTM of their childhood is the NTM of today. It is not. Many of us have been working hard over the past 15 years to make sure that the changes initiated in 1996 would be on-going and far-reaching.

The crucial question we need to ask ourselves is "How are we doing with those things that God showed us back then?"


* How much are we aligned to functioning in grace as we interact? Have we reached a plateau or are we still receptive to allowing God to grow us deeper in understanding a walk of grace?

* What about child protection? A growing momentum in this area started back in 1996 when policies were established that have helped safeguard our children. Is there more we should be doing?

* What about leadership? Are we leading in grace with respect and appreciation of each team member?


Many of you have expressed that reading about the abuse that took place in NTM is heartbreaking and you feel ashamed. There are more allegations coming out. When are we going to get to the bottom of it?

I encourage you to study the story of Naaman in 2 Kings 5. Naaman had leprosy which is sometimes used in Scripture as a picture of sin. Naaman went to Elisha expecting that during the healing of his leprosy he would be treated with the honor befitting a man of his importance.

He was offended and angry that Elisha didn't even come out to see him but rather sent his servant with instructions for Namaan to wash in the dirty Jordan River seven times. Naaman's angry reaction exposed the pride of his heart. Eventually he went to the river to wash.

Here's the point. In order to wash in the river, there was a need for Naaman to take off his clothes, exposing his leprosy just as sin needs to be exposed so that it can be cleansed. Naaman preferred that Elisha just wave over the place where the leprosy was and have it be healed.

I've asked myself, if God wanted to expose sin in NTM, how would we expect Him to do that? Would He do that in a manner that would make us feel warm and fuzzy? Would He do that in private, concealed from those we're accountable to? Dealing with sin is a heart wrenching, vulnerable and painful experience that demands humility on our part. We certainly feel that today. We're feeling the results of sin that has had such an impact on these former students, on their families and on us.

Here's the encouragement: after Naaman submitted himself to the process of exposure and cleansing. God healed him.

My challenge to you is this: let's keep ourselves in a position where God can complete His work. It's going to take courage, understanding and a commitment to stay the course. God will discipline and teach us in love. Let's not miss those imperative lessons.

I cant' belive theat some one at the fandangles sent me a link to post a petittion against NTM what are they carzy?  I wood never sing a petttittion like that it is all malarky and no one really belifeves the stuff that these awfull people are sayng about NTM it is a shame to even mention these thngs.

Satan will use this to get people off the stratigt and narrow way to heaven and preaching the Gospel to all the world expecially the heathen tribes who never go to church or sunday school and some oft he men have long hair and I woultnt be surpized if their wree some gay people there too.  And you dont' thenk they need the NTM to come and help them just what is this all about.

Larry Brown is haveing to take all his time with this stuffr and we dont' even know it is true I would rather belive NTM than a bunch of kids who didnt' apprecheate the nice school they were able to go to without all the cares of the world like proms and dances and smoking and even cussing or kissing of course they had to keep an eye on your sister horny Thornry if she got prganunt they do not berlive in abrothions dont' you care about anyone besides yourself?  INsted of being thankful all they can do is complain and try to smear the name of NTM but I know NTM was raised up by Gods grace and dont' be picking on a mantle Gene Long you are a full time troubl makeer give it a braek.

Sole are going into an eteranl and everlasting hell and no one gves a dam I just dont' get it.  I know that NTM missionarys are trying to get the work done and it is going to be much harder for them without Larrry Brown to guide and direct their every move and next thing you know sme of thenm will be speaking in tounges or starting a heeling ministry well its time the MKs started heeling and get back to work doing Gods work in Gods way amen?

I just dont' understant why all these idiots at fandangels keep carrying on abuot things that happened tewenty years ago and NTM has alrady said they are sorry and who wouldnt' be sorry it was awful but its water udner the brigde now and just think of all the soles that have been saved doesnt' that matter to you?

What shall it prophet a man if he gaine the whole world and loose his sole?  Why arent' people more interested in preaching the gospel intstead of calling the police did the police ever get anyone saved?  Evan a lawyer like HOrny throny can figure this out if hell just stop telling people to call 911 doesnt he have a phone?  Jesus did not die for lawyers to call the cops he died for sinners so they could go to heaven not hell and now everyone is keeping Larrry Brown from his godly work of watching over the NTM missioarys and he has to take care of all these problems at schools which NTM doesnt' even ruin anymore what  is the point?

Yes some bad things happened and everybody I know including my paster is sad and some of us are even mad that it had to come out and wer'e all sorry if anyone feels bad and has been offended by the things that a few individyuls did but not NTM how could NTM do all those things?  But theire will be soles in heaven and that is worth it all you have to have your prirorities stratight not worry about soshul problems and how good people can spell its not my fault and God uses the foolish things of the world so all you wise ass people out theyr'e dont' stand much of a chance if you ask me and anyway this sight is for people who love NTM if you hate NTM go post on the fandangles sight I am dong my best.

When all you look at is temprel conserns you will not have your eyes upon Jesus adn go out into all the harvest feilds to reap the soles for his glory and kingdom for ever and ever befroe the anti-christ is revealed and you have to get the mark of the beast dont' you ever read the Biblbe?  Their are soles to be saved and all you want to do is whine about who is gong to investigate the next school with suxual abuse problems this is taking time away form reel missionary work that God raised up NTM to do so nock it off.  What is one sole worth probably a lot more than a bunch of MKs so I think NTM is doing fine and I wsih you wuld all leave them alone and see you in church on Sunday amen?

Joel Price is in prison not NTM so give it a rest

I cannot believe that that idiot Gene Long is still carrying on about Joel Price what is wrong with him?  Listen JOel Price is in prison for having some dirty pictures oflittele children on his computer how do we know the police didn't put tehm there?  They do not love Jesus or NTM they are just out to cause trouble and even my best friends sisters son got busted for marawanaa and he is a nice boy not gay or anything.  Now look at this stuff that Gene Lng is posting about Joel Price and makes it sound like NTM is a bunch of liars I can hardly belive this stuff is he saved Im sure hes' not.  I mean Gene LOng is not saved but maybe Joes Price is but jst got out of fellowship for a while but not during his time in Vezenweala dont' worry about that.

Joel Price’s computer was searched by law enforcement officers in May 2008. In June 2008 Joel Price resigned from his position as "Youth Pastor" with New Tribes Mission, Sanford, Florida.

On December 18, 2008 Joel Price was arrested by the US Marshals Service and released on $50,000 bond.

On December 27, 2008, the story broke in the press. New Tribes Mission was contacted by many reporters and the NTM spokesperson told the media that Joel Price resigned earlier in 2008. The spokesperson "thinks" it was because of the investigation.

The spokesperson also said that Joel Price had been a missionary in Venezuela, but only worked as a maintenance man, not with children. A few reporters found a copy of NTM’s publication (NTM@Work, Vol.63, No.2, November 2004) online (no longer available online, but I have a copy of the PDF if anyone is interested). On page seven was a picture of Joel Price going over a Bible verse with an MK. Joel had this to say in the article: "I have recently returned to Venezuela to serve at an MK school. I am teaching senior high Bible classes and plan to start a youth ministry in the coming year."

When NTM was contacted about this discrepancy, widely reported in local media, the spokesperson was "unavailable."

In March 2009 Joel Price pled guilty to possession of child pornography; two charges of distributing child pornography were dismissed. In May 2009, Joel Price was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison.

Some questions come to mind:

Are we to believe that NTM was unaware that Joel Price had run afoul of the law until his arrest? No one knew that his computer had been searched, or had an inkling why? Joel Price’s parents are NTM missionaries. His wife’s parents are NTM missionaries. No one knew? No one prepared for the inevitable questions that the press would ask?

Between his arrest on December 18 and the press inquiries a week later, did no one do any research on his past involvement with the mission, specifically his contact with children? Is the NTM spokesperson so inept as to speak to the press with no knowledge of events? Or so duplicitous as to tell an outright lie? Is this "under the blood" since it happened before NTM repented?

How could NTM's official spokesperson not have known that Joel Price HAD had contact with children in Venezuela? Or, if they knew, Why did they lie? Is it OK to lie to protect NTM's corporate image?

When the press found out about the discrepancy, NTM did not rush to make a statement giving the painful truth: "Yes, he did have contact with children, both in Venezuela and as our Youth Pastor. I should have calibrated my earlier statement differently." And they wonder why people don't trust them?

Since Joel Price’s conviction, what has NTM done to find out if any abuse did occur at the NTM school in Venezuela? Was Joel Price himself a victim?

It may is true that "NTM's spokesperson or anyone in NTM [cannot] go to the police station down the road and say 'Mr Triber abused children in 1902 and we're here to report it?'" But, they could tell the truth today, even if it is to the unsaved world of the free press. They could fire people who lie to the public, or replace people who are incapable of doing a job that reflects on the integrity of NTM, its missionaries and its supporters. They could do that. But, they don't.

Why?

NTM 's spokesperson is not a lier you cant' expect her to know about every pervert in NTM there are too many of them and its not like they keep a list of them or anything you have to wait for them to get caught by the police.  She is a nice person who has gav e her life to the Lord to be a spokeperson for NTM and all Gene Long can do is whine about Joel Price dont' you thhink its time to give it a rest?

I believe NTM and I dont think they meant to destroy any papers somethimes things get lost haven't you ever lost anyting I have many times but not my salvation which is the most important thing are you saved?

I dont' know how I missed this on the fanglesgles blog but it is a gem and this MK is a heroe to me she isnt' afraid to stand up for the turht even when she has to admit that NTM has made mistakes well sure they ahve but that is int the past and yo cant' keep focusing ont he negative of the past but look at all the good they ar doing now.  I couldnt' ahve said this any beter excep that maybe I would have mentined that NTM doesnt' allow gays or divorced people but aht doesnt' mater because we have same sex dorms and that should be enough for anybody it doesn't matter.

I was glad to see taht she took that idiot Gene Long to taks for saying he knws if NTM is genuwine or not in repenting he isnt' even saved he had a chance to confess hais fath on the web and he just said email me what a wuss is he gay?  He doesnt' trust aybody not even NTM's godly leaders who are all new and are not part of most of waht has happend and hwo do you expect them to know what to do about sexual abuse of children they are preachers of the good news and tanslation not laywers.  Some people are so stupid what planet are you form Gene LOng uranus you alaways say hrutful things try to put yourself in others shoes for a while and tell me what it feels like.

Please hear what I have to say. I think after this post I will finish reading and writing on the Fanda Eagles blog, because some of the things the onlookers say are so off-base that they are hurtful. I feel like many are determined to be one-sided. When did this website become a place for anyone who has had a grievance against NTM to get together and bash NTM? Do you realize that when you throw unnecessary dirt at an organization like this that it is comprised of members of the body of Christ (and yes, some of the accusations ARE necessary, but let's keep it only to the necessary!)? I am NOT saying we should hide what happened. I am NOT saying it never happened. I am NOT saying to move on prematurely. But I am saying that there are some excellent things about New Tribes Mission.

NTM is a para-church organization. We, as NTM missionaries and candidates, represent our local sending church. That is why NTM is never going to be a cult if they continue in the direction they are headed. NTM is an organization that is used by the local church to do what local churches don't know how to do--reach unreached people groups. This task is complex and involves specific training. Thus, NTM serves the church by providing a way for them to reach the unreached. They have not always operated in this way, but the important thing is that they are now operating this way. If you want to bash NTM, you're going to have to criticize the way they used to be and not the way they are currently.

As for NTM "repenting," Gene, I don't understand why you don't believe it is genuine. I can truly say that I believe their repentance is genuine. And I am on the inside. I have seen it. In the last two months, I have seen everyone between missionaries hot off the field to executive board members who are broken at what has taken place. Many of you are reading only about what they have done in the past and of course, these things were terribly wrong. But NTM is admitting that and they are changing. Gene, why don't you just go ahead and keep saying that your brothers and sisters in Christ are lying to my face and I'm too naive to realize that's what they're doing? Because when you say they only have fake repentance, that's what it means in my life.

In 1997, new leaders were appointed in NTM, and they have sought to make the organization more "grace-based." We all want to be judged based on who are today, and not by our past. I just want the readers of this post to know that I am not with NTM because I have faith in the mission itself. I don't. My faith is in God. If they hadn't been responding to the GRACE report the way they have been then I would have left. But I am an MK who was also abused (not by NTM, but another organization), and I choose to remain with NTM because I have personally seen that they have changed. Don't you think my standards for their change would be higher than someone's who wasn't abused? NTM is a means to an end for me (reaching the unreached people groups) and they are an effective way to meet my goals. And what I see on this blog by many posters is largely biased against them. Please look at the other side of the story. If there are still missionaries within NTM who are ignorant of this situation, that is because of their own personal choice. NTM has informed us all of the situation and asked us to read the GRACE report--even the missionary candidates.

If you focus only on the negative, you lose credibility. Focus on the facts. And they are: NTM abused MKs and missionaries due to the environment that the leadership created. NTM continued in this way for some time, until the leadership repented. NTM is no longer this way.

Are you perfect? No your not.

I was giong to post a email I got the other day but it will have to wait I finaly found something really good on the fandangles website I could hardly believe it was their I imagine this poor old lady will get her ears pined back for sticking up for NTM but she is brave and bearutiful in my book what a gal and I dont' even like lady preachers too much most of the time.  Here is what she said and it makes more sense than all the iditocy tht Gene Long and Horny Thorny post put together they are such gas bags.

Last month I read the Grace report. My heart was broken. Not only because I knew some of the adults involved but some of the children too. How could they do such a thing? How could the leaders in our mission actually allow these things to go on? They, of all people had the power to stop it and chose not to. I was very upset. It also got me thinking. I began to wonder how long they knew about it in Via before they intervened. I had assumed they were acting on completely new information. Now I know from reading in the Forum that it had been reported before and ignored. How maddening. I remember my daughter in 3rd grade crying and not wanting us to leave her in the dorm. I remember crying all the way back to Anapolis. I remember wanting to take her out of the school and teach her at home but my husband said “no, she would get used to it.” He had Frank and Joanne as dorm parents and he thought they were great. I gave in. I never felt welcome in the dorm by Frank but Joanne was always sweet. I trusted her completely.

I was so glad someone spoke up about Frank . Whoever spoke up and was responsible for getting Frank out of the dorm then I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your courage. And I do mean COURAGE.

As the years passed my daughter opened up more about what happened to her. I can’t say any more about that as that is her story to tell. However both my kids have told me that they were glad they went to Via and have mostly fond remembrances of Via. If I was to do it again, I would wait till high school. at least. when I knew my kids would not be afraid to tell us anything that was going on. Of course, now with all the on line stuff and home schooling tools and helps I feel home schooling is definitely the way to go. Boarding schools are definitely not needed now with all we have available at our fingertips.

What I did do at the time, however, was try to make changes in the regime. I requested that we have go home visits every weekend for those families living close enough to do so. After all they were our kids and leaving them at the boarding school was for education purposes only so why couldn't they come home when there wasn’t any school. I was told it was not fair for those who couldn't go home. I felt that was pretty lame, after all they were my kids. So, we visited once a week instead. That didn’t go over too well with Frank, but Bucky and Joanne N were all for it when they got there.

When my daughter went into 7th gr. I put my foot down and wanted visits to continue every 3 weeks and not change to every 6 weeks. This time I won! My best year in Brasil was the year that we were in the girls dorm. It was also my hardest year on the field. I saw first hand the real workings of Via. The rules that seemed to be there for no reason in particular. When I asked about them, no one seemed to know why the rule was there. That’s just the way it was. When I suggested changing it I was told to talk to Linda. She said it was there for a very good reason but could not tell me the reason just that it had to be that way. I was told by another staff that I better be careful about trying to change things because if not the “powers that be” would have us kicked out of the dorm.

They said it was best to be quiet and just go with the flow. Typically that is my way, but i was seeing too many injustices to the girls that I felt I needed to say something. So I continued, and sure enough we were kicked out of the dorm. Oh, they named off a list of accusations against us a mile long, which were untrue, and never gave us a chance to respond, but I always felt the real reason we were asked to leave was because I stuck up for the girls one too many times. Incidentally one of the board members resigned after that. I was told it was because he disagreed with what was done.

Us Anapolis people considered starting a school amongst our group with the parents teaching different grades and subjects but it was shot down because there would not have been enough kids left at Via to make a school. Looking back I wonder why I allowed them to control me so. Don’t get me wrong, I like these people. I like them a lot. Were they right ? NO. Should things have been done differently? YES. Have I made mistakes? Most definitely. So If I have made mistakes can I harshly judge others who have also made mistakes. No.

Where is God in all this? God doesn’t say bad things won’t happen, He just promises to be there for us when we run to Him.

So, do I fight for the Mission? YES. Am I a coward ? NO. Do I condone what they did? NO NO. Do they need to make changes? Absolutely. Should those involved in the cover up be removed from position ? YES. Should the sex offenders be prosecuted? YES. But, as Jean Johnson always said “Don’t throw out the baby with the bathwater”. There a lot of good sincere people in NTM who have a real heart for the Lord. Will they make some mistakes along the way? Certainly. Can we forgive them? I hope so.

So what about those who have been hurt along the way by those who made mistakes and(worse) by those who chose to sin willfully? Only God can heal those wounds completely. An apology from the offenders will help and in some cases punishment needs to be meted out, counselling is helpful too, but only God can heal a broken and hurting heart.

We must not be bitter at the Mission. The bitterness will hurt us way more than them. Besides, it is not the mission that is bad, it was a generational culture. That’s right, a culture, the culture of a generation of people that grew up with, “Children are to be seen and not heard”, “Spare the rod spoil the child”, “Adults are right, even when their wrong”.....

A generation that grew up not talking about sex, let alone sexual sins. That’s how it was. Sex sins were hidden. Pregnant teenagers were sent away to a relatives till after the baby was born to hide the shame SHE brought on the family, even if the father of the baby was an uncle or your friends husband. Things were hidden. Not punished. These things have gone on (and continue to go on) for years and not just in boarding schools and missions, but in churches, families, communities, you name it. NTM is just a part of the evil world we live in. Do we have the right to condemn NTM? No more than we have the right to condemn the world. That is Gods job. Our job is to do the best we can to clean it, and ourselves, up. All this that is coming out right now may succeed in cleansing NTM and making it a better instrument in Gods hands than it ever has been before. Will it hurt? You bet. But it is a good hurt. A cleansing and correcting hurt. I know I need it sometimes in my heart and so does NTM.

We must not try to destroy them. God is at work through NTM despite its past and present sins. Many have been abused and hurt by people in the mission. The mission itself has been abused and hurt by the sins of people within it. God can heal us all and I believe God can heal the mission and use it once again for His purpose.

My heart was mihgtaly blessed to get a email from an NTM missionary who agrees with me and does not want to see NTM raped over the coals and more.  I dont' agree with everything he has said but I know he loves the Lord and his main job is preaching the gospel tothe heathen not law suets.

I have been reading your comments on this blog and I fully agree with you when you say that eternal values are more important than earthly concerns.  What will it profit a man if he gain the world and lose his soul?  Why should we be working for earthly things, when we can work to see the souls of the lost saved and safe in the arms of Jesus?  Eternity counts.  This life is but a shadow.

I know many in NTM who are heartbroken over the inexcusable sins committed in the past by some members of the mission.  NTM is doing all that they can to put these things right.  Of course, we can't change the past and the victims are eventually going to have to face that and get on with life - as I am sure the Lord will enable them to do as they confess and renounce their anger.

I think, however, that there are going to be many who will try to twist our words and make us sound like we are saying things that we are not.  In fact, almost whatever we say will be misconstrued by those with an axe to grind; there is very little that can be done to soften a hardened, bitter heart.  We have to leave that with the Lord.

So, maybe it would be best to just let NTM do the talking for now.  Their hearts are broken before the Lord and they are trying very, very hard to do what is right now for the students who were at Fanda.  I'm concerned that the enemy will use your good intentions to undermine the progress that is being made.

Well, I am not afraid to speak the truth and I will keep on speaking the truth although I know that the missionarys in NTM will have to be careful of what they say so they arent' distracted form the good work they ar doig in the tribes.  I for one am not the leest bit afraid of satan and his hosts he is a defeated foe and we have the overwelming victory in Jesus our saviour forever.

NTM can only say so much and they are affraid that there words will be constured into something they are not saying but I beleive they know the truth and are trying to do whta is right so I am happpy to spaek up on their part they love the Lord and are trying to save soles around the world not play lawyer like Perry Mason or somethign.

My paster says that we are going to keep suporting NTM and he loves the Lord and has talked to many of the NTM leadrs they love the Lord too.  They will know we are christians by our love but now it seems like everyone thinks they will know we are christians by our law suets what a crock amen?
